An exceptional program for girls 1st-8th grade!

Purpose. Wisdom & Knowledge. Moral Character.

These principles are the pillar of our program. We are dedicated to stopping the cycle of aimless behavior that plagues youth today. Our goal is to develop a group of leaders who are not afraid to be different and not afraid to stand for what is right. In a time where children find entertainment in spreading negativity, violence and disrespect; PYD Queens stand out and set a higher standard!

Purposeful YOUth Detroit nurtures young women and inspire them to conduct themselves with purpose at all times. We encourage youth to become aware of the world around them and their place in it.

We infuse our work with lessons on self-respect and requiring the respect of others, self-love, confidence and the development of sound character. We influence knowledge seekers who proudly carry themselves as moral citizens - giving back to their community and giving their very best in everything that they do.

We are building young QUEENS ready to take on the world!

'Wrapped in Love' Service Learning Project

PYD girls warmed over 300 hearts and neck on this day by tying warm scarves to light poles, park benches and placing them directly in the hands of those in need. We are so proud of the serving heart of our Young Queens!
